I think the most far-reaching impact of the iPod and iPhone is that they have transformed the relationship between people and technology from operation to experience. In the past, we used technology to complete tasks, such as sending emails and listening to music, but Apple’s design makes technology approachable, intuitive, and even emotionally attractive. Design is no longer just about making machines a necessary tool, but about making users willing to use and even rely on them. For example, the multi-touch and buttonless design of the iPhone directly affected the interaction specifications of mobile interfaces and promoted the development of natural user interfaces. The most critical impact is that it allows designers to start from people’s feelings, and I think this starting point is the core of modern interaction design.
