Technology took a big turn with Web 2.0. People started interacting with each other online, and social media and the gig economy quickly became popular. This led to major economic growth. The iPhone also changed everything it shifted how people used technology and inspired a wave of new tools made just for phones.
Today, things feel different. It seems like we’ve become more controlled by our devices. Instead of new gadgets, the focus has moved toward productivity and content creation. AI has made it easier to consume more content, but it also brings a flood of information, some of it unreliable.
As designers, we need to adapt quickly. Technology is moving fast; if we don’t pivot and grow with it, we risk falling behind.
