The Evolution of Graphical User Interfaces

Since the early Macintosh and Windows days, graphical user interfaces have changed a lot. They used to be very simple, with black-and-white icons and basic windows, but now they are colorful, animated, and work with touch, voice, and even gestures. Computers and phones today have more personalized and interactive designs. Still, the main ideas — like using windows, icons, and menus — have stayed the same because they are easy to understand. In my opinion, modern GUIs look amazing, but sometimes they feel too crowded or confusing. I think designers should make them simpler and easier to use, while also making them feel more natural and human. In the future, it would be great if interfaces could connect better across all our devices and even understand what we need before we ask.
