As interaction designers, we are taught a great deal about how our designs impact people. We study human behavior, cognitive science, and principles of psychology. With this knowledge, we gain responsibility. Keeping users safe, protecting their information, and making sure things are properly disclosed to them is important.
Now, working with AI and integrating it into our work makes these responsibilities feel more important as we navigate a new era of regulations, personal information sharing, and generative AI using information to further itself.
As a designer, accessibility, transparency, and ethics is important to me. I aim to create designs that make people feel comfortable, informed, and empowered regarding the behaviors they display and the information they share.
