I believe the first ethical responsibility is transparency during the design phase. Interaction designers need to let users know when they are interacting with AI and explain how the system makes decisions. Simultaneously, designers need to inform users what data will be collected and when that data will be used. Users should also have the right to choose how their data is used; this is a very important privacy and security issue.
