Early Versions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Photoshop 1.0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brothers Thomas and John tried to market the software as best as they could. Adobe was impressed by brothers Thomas and John \u2019s image editing software, it was the first.  So they ended up getting an offer for a licensing deal. The next version of Photoshop releases was Photoshop 1.0 and was officially branded as an Adobe product, in 1990.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Photoshop Elements after Photoshop 6.0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2001, Adobe simplified Photoshop as it becomes too complex to their users and companies. So they decided to stripped out the complex features of Photoshop and left only the essentials that a beginner or average user would need. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • The UI was simplified to be more friendly to users who were not as computer savvy. <\/li>
  • Also a reduced price tag<\/li>
  • Photoshop CS (Creative Suite<\/strong>)<\/li>
  • Counterfeit Deterrence System<\/li>
  • recognize images of paper money and prevent users from printing them.<\/li>
  • support to edit files over 2GB<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Photoshop CS6<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • released in 2012<\/li>
    • announced they would be switching to Creative Cloud <\/li>
    • added in background autosaves, <\/li>
    • a lot of great smaller features like a straightening tool<\/li>
    • support for video adjustments. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Photoshop CC<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • The original Photoshop CC launched in 2013 and was a major turning point in Photoshop history. <\/li>
      • a subscription-only service under the Creative Cloud name. <\/li>
      • can create plugins for Photoshop by Adobe Generator<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Photoshop 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • drops the CC branding in the name,  functionality wasn\u2019t removed<\/li>
        • enhanced object selection tool, properties panel, transform warp, and new keyboard shortcuts. <\/li>
        • the first iPad release(iPad was limited in its features) <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
